The artistic design of this mental place that Sam walks into from time to time definitely deserved the right attention and is certainly the apogee of the game in the way it is brought to life and experienced by the player. Sam has a Mind Palace, an expansive and unique part of his mind where he can revisit his past, relive old memories, and reconstruct events to gather clues and predict the story’s key turning points. However, the game is not only about solving the mystery of the situation at hand but also taking a look into Sam’s psyche and getting to know and understand the person and his values. While I like the fresh approach which totally fits into the detective theme, I oftentimes felt a bit restricted with the available options to respond and was sometimes forced to take decisions I didn’t like.
